On loan Blackburn Rovers midfielder Alex Marrow is hoping he will be able to make his second Highbury debut in today’s game against Hartlepool.
The 23 year old midfielder rejoined us recently for the second time, and he told the Official Site that he was delighted to be back at the club again and he was looking forward to getting some good match time under his belt and helping the club kick on further in the league this season.
‘So far, training has gone well and it has been really enjoyable. I know a lot about the club having been part of last season’s squad. There are a few new faces, but I’m just excited to get out there and play some games.’
The 23 year old made 22 appearances for the club last season, and as well as his favoured midfield role, he gives manager Graham Alexander options in both full back positions as he can also perform there.
Marrow has by no means been brought in with the promise of automatically starting, but he’s hoping his level of performance previously for us, plus his efforts will have given him a good shot for today, but if not, he knows he just has to keep knuckling down in training and impress the gaffer so he can work his way into the first team again during his time with us now.

Now that’s how you debut 🙂
Shame for Hughes but Marrow certainly announced himself, again!
Good boost for competition already. Hughes will bounce back though.
