Cod Army Preview: Fleetwood v York

Image for Cod Army Preview: Fleetwood v York

Fleetwood are looking to preserve and unbeaten record in 2014 and if we’re going to do this we have to make sure that visitors York don’t go away from Highbury with anything on Saturday.

There aren’t any new injuries for the Cod Army.

Meaning, apart from Jamille Matt and Jeff Hughes, who were already injured, Graham Alexander has a clean bill of health but he is going to be minus four players that could have been selected last time.

Shaun Beeley, Ryan Crowther, Steven Gillespie and Alex Titchiner were all released this week.

Recent signing Will Hayhurst could make a full debut for York, he came on in midweek for a debut but David McGurk doesn’t look like he’ll be involved due to injury.

Another doubt for the visitors is Ryan Jarvis but Lewis Montrose could return.

York aren’t going to be easy for the Cod Army but if we were to lose, and that unbeaten record this year ended, it would be disappointing not to mention a surprise really but York have a habit of drawing so that could be the outcome.

A winning run was ended on Monday but I fancy us to get back into another one.
