One of the positives from the Bradford game was lasting 90 minutes following his injury in our previous game.

Speaking to the Official Site Brown admitted that he was feeling the 90 minutes after the game, but his main frustration was the draw – however he was just glad to be back on the pitch and doing his job.

‘My ankle is sore but that’s part of the game, I was slightly disappointed we never got the victory, because I thought we deserved to win. Coming off last week was disappointing but I worked all week to make sure I was match fit.’

After injuries limited Brown to only 22 starts last season, the 23 year and our leading scorer, is determined to play as much as he can this season to make up for some lost time, and despite his Oxford replacement, Crowther, finding the net, he was pleased that Alexander kept faith with him.

He also admits that despite moving round the pitch a bit and being our Mr Versatile, he’ll continue to play anywhere and long as it keeps him involved on a match day, but he knows he has to keep developing and putting in the performances on the pitch that allow him that chance.
