Connor McLaughlin’s goal last year helped Fleetwood into the Area Final of the Johnstone’s Paint Trophy, and this has been shortlisted as one of the goals of that round round.
His effort was one of five goals, described as ‘net-busting strikes’ from the four Area Semi Finals, to make this shortlist with fans again asked to vote for their favourite with the winning player awarded a trophy for their goal and those voting having a chance to win an iPod.

I know I’m biased but clearly the goal of the round belongs to McLaughlin!
We’ll be hoping that the Cod Army can have another nominee (or two) listed after the Area Finals next month, with Chesterfield standing between us and a Final showdown with either Peterborough or Swindon.
