Fleetwood’s League 1 season continued with a defeat against Rochdale at Spotland on Tuesday.

A chance to move clear of the bottom four was missed by Fleetwood following a one-nil loss at Rochdale, who themselves still had (and may well going forward) relegation worries of their won.

Joe Bunney’s 12-minute goal proved to be enough for Rochdale with Wes Burns denied an equaliser when he headed against the crossbar leaving the Cod Army outside the bottom four only on goal-difference.

These were the other results.

Bury 0-0 Barnsley
Peterborough 1-2 Oldham
Rochdale 1-0 Fleetwood

Only a handful of games, not too many goals either but some crucial points gained, and lost, in the battle to mainly stay in League 1!

A weekend victory against Gillingham was followed up by Oldham (two-one) getting another vital three-points when the Latics won at London Road to further dent the Peterborough hopes of a play-off place whilst boosting hopes of avoiding the drop.

Fleetwood’s (one-nil) own chances suffered a knock with a defeat at Rochdale.
