We’ll see the leaders in action on Monday but from the chasing pack only Wigan (two-one) profited with them looking a good bit for a top two finish by winning at promotion rivals Walsall.

Gillingham (two-one) suffered a surprise defeat to Oldham at Boundary Park but this win has helped boost the Latics’ own survival hopes with Fleetwood (two-one) doing likewise with a win against in-form Scunthorpe at the Highbury Stadium.

It’s looking bleak for Colchester (five-two) at the foot of the table now though isn’t it with a lead lost in a heavy defeat at Gigg Lane to Bury leaving the U’s looking a near certainty to drop into League 2 now you feel?
