Fleetwood’s inability to convert the chances that we had cost us on Boxing Day with Bradford going home with the points.

Missed efforts, and some luck going against us, meant that a goal in either half from the visitors saw Bradford got away from Highbury with a two-nil win.

Andrew, Dobbie and Morris all went close in the first half. The impressive Andrew curling his effort just wide of the top corner with Proctor just unable to get onto the end of a Dobbie’s cutback after good build up play between Sarcevic and McLaughlin.

It was Bradford though that made the breakthrough just before the break when Crainey, on for the injured Andrew, was easily between by Yeates who crossed for Hanson (42) to head home.

Proctor almost brought us level but his 25-yard strike smashed against the crossbar with the visitors surviving. Bradford’s manager also survived, Phil Parkinson pushed McLaughlin on the touchline but he escaped.

A two-nil win for the visitors was secured 12-minutes from time when Stead was left by Hanson with Morais (78) forcing the ball past Maxwell.
