Fleetwood were on course for a rare league 1 away win at the weekend, until Coventry stuck late on to deny us.

With 10-minutes remaining, and us one-up, we looked to be on the way to a pre-Christmas win but then Coventry scored to see the game at the Ricoh Arena end in a one-one draw.

There wasn’t much in the game until we went ahead, an Evans cross was headed into his own net by Webster (19) to give us an early Christmas present! McQuoid went close to equalising for the host with Evans having a chance or two to extend the lead, but these weren’t taken.

Coventry fought for an equaliser but we held our own but finally with time running out a Pennington’s cross was knocked down by Madine for substitute Jackson (80) to turn the ball home and see the game end in a one-one draw.
