Fleetwood were beaten by a Bristol City side that celebrated a place in the Johnstone’s Paint Trophy Final with a win that took them back to the top of the league 2 table on Sunday afternoon.

Two second half goals, including one in injury-time, was enough to condemn us to a two-nil defeat at Ashton Gate.

A goalless first half, which was possible after Proctor, Morris, Haughton and Evans all threatened to put us ahead but none could breakthrough – Maxwell saved from Agard and Smith with Flint denied by a goal line clearance from Morris.

The breakthrough finally came when Smith (52) finished off Bryan’s freekick with Emmanuel-Thomas (90+2) confirming the points in injury-time.
