Fleetwood remain very much on track for yet another play-off bid this season with an impressive win at Barnsley in midweek, a possible rival of ours for a top six finish beaten on their own patch!

We went to Oakwell knowing that the home side were in great form but Barnsley’s loss at Swindon on Saturday was followed up by a first defeat at home in five when we won two-one on Tuesday night.

It didn’t take Barnsley long to make a breakthrough, Maxwell could only parry away a long-range freekick from Hourihane with Ramage (5) on hand to fire home the rebound early on.

That deficit wasn’t one we faced for long with McLaughlin (14) firing one into the top corner to swiftly bring us level and barely 15-minutes later a Haughton’s cross left Wolves loanee McAlinden (33) with a simple tap in to put us ahead.

McAlinden could have put the game to bed in the second half, with Hemmings missing a chance to punish us for this, but two-one was enough for us to come away with the points.

Following this game, as is customary of course, attention now turns to the MotM for us – who you think this was?

Select the name that you want from the list in the poll to your right, but why not also share your thoughts with us on your thinking for that person, and this latest game itself, with some views….
