Scott Davies’ Fleetwood career is officially over after five-years after it was announced this afternoon that the ‘keeper has signed for Tranmere.

The role that Davies has played in our rise can’t be underestimated and isn’t likely to be forgotten, it shouldn’t be anyway, as he played a key role in the side that got into the Football League.

First-team football eventually became harder for him to come across with Chris Maxwell going on to establish himself as our no.1 and this saw Davies return to former club Morecambe on loan last season, also having a spell with Accrington too.

Davies will now have the chance to get some regular first-team football again having signed for Tranmere, who were relegated from the Football League last season, on a permanent basis.

I’ll, as others will, wish him the best of luck for the future and thank him for his effort during his spell with the Cod Army.
