Fleetwood’s bid to make the League 1 play-offs is still on, we’ve got it all to do but a one-nil win at Gillingham on Good Friday at least keeps us in with a shout – all we can do is keep picking up the points and see where it takes us?

There was, as is so often the case in our games, just the one goal in it but the only goal of the game at the Priestfield Stadium came our way in this one-nil win.

When Gillingham ‘keeper Morris wasn’t able to keep hold of Ball’s cross Evans (18) was on hand to follow up and break the deadlock, marking his 100th appearance for us with a goal, which proved to be the winning goal!

Evans returned to compliment soon after his goal to put in Ball but he wasn’t able to force a save from Morris this time, or even hit the target as he put his effort wide but he was also denied by a save later in the game by Morris.

Norris went as close as anyone for Gillingham.

Victory keeps us within touching distance of the play-offs, we’re currently four-points adrift of the sixth and final place going into the second of the Easter weekend games….
