Fleetwood Town have secured the signing of free agent Jamie Proctor.

The 22 year old joins us on a two year contract, effective from July 1st, from Fleetwood Town where he saw his contract expire this summer.

Having spent 18 months with Crawley, they did offer him an extension, but withdrew the offer when the deadline for accepting passed.

Having come through Preston’s youth set up, becoming a first team regular in the process, he will now team up once more with Conor McLaughlin as they were in the same youth team all those years ago.

During his time at Preston, he spent a loan spell with Stockport, and then moved onto Swansea in August 2012 although he didn’t make an appearance in his time with them, however he gained a bit more experience out on loan with Shrewsbury Town.

He then joined Crawley in January 2013, proving himself to be a semi regular goalscorer in front of the net.

His career stats so far read 73 starts, with a further 44 appearances from the bench, with a return of 18 goals across all competitions.

Last season he made 49 appearances, scoring seven times, with his overall Crawley stats reading 40 starts, 27 from the bench with a return of 14 goals.
