We don’t see too many ’emphatic’ Fleetwood wins, our games are usually tight affairs, but we thrashed basement club Yeovil four-nil on Easter Monday to keep our play-off hopes alive.

The game was done and dusted at Highbury with barely half an hour played, a late fourth put the seal on the win and keeps us within sight of a place in the top six….

Ball (7) opened the scoring early on for us, Haughton put in a cross that Bond headed back to him who couldn’t miss from six-yards.

Yeovil’s best chance fell to Grant, who was denied before Ball (16) fired home from 20-yards to make it two-nil early on to leave the game all but won, and when he turned provider for Proctor (32) just past the half hour mark it was!

A first goal in professional football for Hunter (83) late on wrapped up the convincing four-nil win and put a nice gloss on things.

The play-offs will still be difficult but we’ve still got a chance.
