Fleetwood were denied a chance of getting back into the automatic League 2 promotion mix on Friday when the Newport County game was called off. The Cod Army are travelling again tonight when we take on Wycombe Wanderers.

A draw at the weekend gave Wycombe another point in their relegation battle but it also meant that they’d not won in eight League 2 games and hadn’t scored in the last three but they don’t have any new injury concerns going into tonight.

Charles Dunne (fractured tibia) is one that is out though but it recovering well along with Tommy Fletcher.

Had we faced Newport on Friday Alex Marrow and Jamille Matt probably wouldn’t have made the squad as they were ‘touch and go’ for that game.

The training between should have done enough to bring them back into Graham Alexander’s plans, with Matt making his return from a long term injury.

Jeff Hughes, due to his broken leg against picked up again Hartlepool, is out again and will do well to play again this season.

Wycombe’s poor run of form will come to an end at some point but we’ll all be disappointed if that were the case tonight. I wouldn’t say I’m ‘expecting a win’ but I do have this down as one of those that I would ‘like us to win’.
