Fleetwood are looking to instantly bounce back from a heavy defeat at Exeter on Saturday when Bristol Rovers come to Highbury on Tuesday.

Iain Hume made his Cod Army debut as a sub in that defeat but looks set to make his full debut with David Ball a candidate to partner him after his return from injury, also off the bench, in that game too.

Bobby Grant’s knee will keep him out again with Jeff Hughes (broken leg) not back until next season.

Bristol Rovers midfielder John-Joe O’Toole will be missing, which is a plus for us as he’s scored 15 goals for them this season. A booking on Friday means he’ll be suspended for collecting 10 yellow cards.

Steven Gillespie or David Clarkson will replace him but Ryan Brunt and Alan Gow are out long term.

With just one defeat in six, and looking to secure their League 2 status Bristol Rovers will be another tough game for the Cod Army but back on home turf we’ll be looking to make amends for the Exeter defeat.

A response has been demanded by Graham Alexander and I think we’ll get it.
